Sawnee Electric Foundation Program Awards Scholarships to 20
Outstanding Students
On April 25, 2025, the Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation announced that it has awarded scholarships to twenty local high school seniors, each receiving $5,000. This initiative is part of the Foundation’s mission to support education in the communities served by Sawnee EMC. Blake House, Vice President of Sawnee EMC’s Member Services, stated, “The Youth Scholarship Program exemplifies our commitment to being a partner and supporter in the various communities that Sawnee EMC serves.”
The Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation scholarship recipients for 2025 are:

- Kimia Askari Denmark High School
- Bradan Bourg Denmark High School
- Noah Boynton Creekview High School
- Gabriella Burton Northview High School
- Peyton Buzeta North Forsyth High School
- Conner Callihan Forsyth Central High School
- Piper Clark Forsyth Central High School
- Sahiti Dasari South Forsyth High School
- Maximilian Draughn Cambridge High School
- Weston Eazor South Forsyth High School
- Conor Eggleston Johns Creek High School

To date, including this year’s recipients, the Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation has awarded a total of $1,352,500 in scholarships to 312 exceptional high school seniors within its seven-county service area.
“Supporting those in need in our communities and helping outstanding students continue their education is a key part of the Foundation’s core mission,” said Ms. Sylvia Lundberg, Chairwoman of the Foundation’s Board. “We look forward to seeing the exciting accomplishments of this year’s recipients after high school and wish them much success in the future,” she added.
