Connie’s Cornucopia – organic food straight to your door
I recently enjoyed a discussion with Connie Hoyt, the founder of Connie’s Cornucopia, a year-round, full-line Local Farmer’s Market with a difference.
Connie’s doesn’t have a physical location. They leverage the power of an online-only Market to bring Farmer/Vendors and Customers together in the North Metro Atlanta, Georgia area. Connie’s goal is to bring the spirit of the weekly farmers markets to homes and businesses in North metro Atlanta. Making that high quality, fresh food available every day, not just on Saturdays when many families are too busy with sports, and other events to get to local farmer’s markets.

Connie’s Cornucopia gives you direct Online access well beyond the traditional Farmer’s Market, providing not only Organic Foods and Artisan products, but bringing whole-food nutrition concepts directly to your door. This includes supplies to those who want to grow their own food without the requirement of traditional herbicides, and man-made fertilizers.
The company’s goal is beyond just selling fresh, healthy food, but to help people live without the need of man-made or mass-produced food in the global supply chain, and to actually know where the food is produced. You can get this high powered, locally sourced food delivered directly without having to travel, dealing with weather, parking, crowds, and traffic.
Connie says the online market can be a benefit and a convenience for people with families and young children as well as seniors, and others who can’t get to the fresh farmer’s markets in the community.
Their motto at Connie’s is “Where Food is Your Medicine, or Medicine will be Your Food.”
Connie’s Cornucopia is an Urban Farming and Marketing operation based in Forsyth County, Georgia, serving a 19-Zip Code area including: Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, and Pickens Counties. Unlike some co-ops, buying clubs, or CSAs where everyone gets the same box of stuff (and you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it), with Connie’s Cornucopia you get to order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want.
Additionally, they feature 9 pick-up locations in or near the Cities of: Cumming, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Canton, Sugar Hill, & Suwanee, Ga.
