Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our Forsyth County Teachers!

National Teacher Day (or National Teacher Appreciation Day) in 2026 is celebrated Tuesday, May 5.woman in gray long sleeve shirt sitting beside boy in orange crew neck shirt

It is celebrated annually on the Tuesday of the first full week in May, which is designated as Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8, 2026).

This special week was designed to honor teachers and recognize their lasting contributions to education and society. The idea of celebrating teachers across America was heavily pushed by Eleanor Roosevelt in 1953, with the National Education Association (NEA) establishing the current week-long celebration in 1985. While Teacher Appreciation Week is in May, World Teachers’ Day is observed annually on October 5.

Tell a Teacher you appreciate them! and Tell us who your favorite Teachers are.
