A Game-Changer: The Gathering at South Forsyth

A multi-billion dollar development is officially moving forward in South Forsyth, and it’s the talk of the town. Known as The Gathering at South Forsyth, this mixed-use project may even bring an NHL team back to metro Atlanta. The proposed site—located near GA 400 and Union Hill Road—could become a centerpiece for entertainment, sports, dining, and retail. While an NHL franchise hasn’t been confirmed, the potential has locals buzzing with excitement.

County News: Property Taxes & Public Hearings

Forsyth County officials have announced proposed 2025 property tax rates. The Maintenance & Operations millage will remain unchanged, while the Fire rate may see a small increase. The county is also planning to slightly reduce the Bond millage. Residents are encouraged to participate in upcoming public hearings on July 22 and August 7.

Also, Access Forsyth is reviewing fare adjustments—so if you use the county’s transportation services, make your voice heard.
